Different experiences of information available when using TOR. -The interest on knowing how to create different identities online (the way on how to separate them and not giving up our real identity) -Interest on feminist libraries online with bibliography on the main subjects of interests. -Getting to know alternatives of Free Software of main applicatives used on the computer General feedback: - What happens in open spaces vs closed spaces? Do women and LGTBQIA folk need their own spaces and their own approaches to technology and learning?  +
FemH3ck - Basic privacy and digital security for feminist & LGTBQIA, Indonesia +	Participants were very grateful and excited about the event and the new issues they were learning in the training. All of them were very excited to share what they have learned with their friends in their organizations and collectives as now they know that most of digital security strategies will only work if it is applied collectively. Participants also express their hopes for the continuation of the training and discussion after the event, not only for women and LGBTIQ activists but also for other activists working on different social justice issues.  +
FemH3ck - Basic privacy and digital security for feminist & LGTBQIA, La Plata, Argentina +	Specific feedback: - Need for ongoing training good digital security tools when "on the run" (mobiles), need to create spaces to "slow down and learn" outside of urgent organisational moments. - Not just technological knowledge is needed, also strategies and tactics in relation to informational security, and managing networks which are distributed physically with a great variety in levels of understanding and access to technology. - Need for restructuring of approach to ITC in relation to media's violent culture towards women and girls. Mothers we work with worried about daughters uploading pictures to Facebook in case something happens to them. A whole new approach needed in relation to the way we think about networks, how women and girls use technology, spaces which allow us to have empowering new approaches to technology at all income levels. - Spaces where we learn without "experts" are great! So much unlearning to do. General feedback: - Where does the anxiety around technolgy come from? How do we overcome it?  +

FemH3ck - How the internet works for WHRD, Mexico +	What were the impressions? Time was a bit too short. It was good from what people said to me and in the evaluation, but I could tell that it was hard for some people, like 3 girls that we have in the group, to understand some concepts.  +
FemH3ck - Round table Privacy and security in the Open IT Space, Serbia +	Great interest of the participants and the desire for knowledge in these areas. Shown is a high degree of lack of education. When it comes Younger participants, they have a decent technical knowledge, but lack awareness of the risk and responsibility. As for themselves and for others. When it comes to older participants, among them was noticed ignorance ways of functioning of the Internet and the dangers that hide behind that, though they include it in their daily lives, both business as well as private.  +
FemH3ck – Digital Security and Privacy Advocacy Flash training at the ihub Space, Nairobi, Kenya +	Being city dwellers and internet savvy, the audience related well to the subject matter and how it affects their work both personally and professionally. The attendees fully participated and were engaging. It was a 50/50 involvement on the hands on given that a good number did not come with their laptops.-Yvonne “While I was taking my tea, one of the participants came up to me and said, “this workshop has been great. It is so relevant to the issues that we women are facing especially in our personal lives. There are so many cybercrimes being committed to us by the one’s we love. I hope you can find time to come to our association and train many more women on how to stay safe online. It is a critical topic that we need further information on.” Mary Kiio  +
FemH3ck – Talking Digital Saving Lives at Egerton University, Njoro, Kenya +	Most students and lecturers were not aware of digital security and were in awe during the hands on sessions. Being the gender department, digital security is treated as a separate entity-Yvonne “This session has been so practical in sharing crucial information on digital security. I have been talking to them (students) on the need for digital security but had not gone through it using such depth and identifying tools online they can use,” a lecturer said. There is room for the trainings we conducted to be adapted in sessions such as the gender department as the lecturer above outlines, if we scale up our intervention with the university and hopefully others that have opportunities to adapt the trainings. Femhack- Encryption and digital security workshop for cis, trans and queer women, Bangalore +	- interest in creating more safe spaces to discuss and learn: one repeated feedback was that for participants to truly open up, it helped (among other factors) to have a closed space for cis and trans women in creating a non-threatening, non-judgemental and empathetic space - among the participants were university students running gender and sexuality support groups, who were interested in making available anonymysing tools and having access to literature on feminist approaches to technology - explore having focused groups with different needs (eg. activists, students having small informal support groups, generally curious persons) perhaps gather on different days  +
Formacion Ciberactivismo, Cuenca, Ecuador +	Este taller permitio tener un contacto claro sobre que son las redes y el internet, la gente lo aprovecho de manera muy práctica, sin embargo falto tiempo para poder practicar más.  +
Formacion Ciberactivismo, Santa Elena, Ecuador +	Los, las, les participantes pidieron mayor capacitaciones, talleres, e información que les permita practicar y romper su temor con la tecnología. En especial hay una demanda con los grupos de personas transgénero, quienes mostraron gran interés en el uso de red con enfoque a compartir información sobre su vida, pero sobre todo al uso de las redes y la desnudes, sexo, y sexualidad en el internet. Por otro lado, las mujeres jóvenes asistentes al taller pidieron mayor información sobre la gobernanza del internet feminista, y los ataques a las defensoras feministas en las redes sociales. Por último se toparon muchos temas, que dependen de la practica de los, las, les participantes y su capacidad de acceder a internet. Falto tiempo para todo lo que quisieramos haber practicado, sin embargo, fue una jornada de tres días intensa.  +

Gender and Technology Institute, LAC, Start Up Meeting, Mexico +	Comentarios Contenidos Siento que poco hemos tocado los temas sino que nos hemos enfocado en la preparación practica del IGT. Se ha ampliado y he aprendido del trabajo de otras compañeras. Hubiera sido lindo profundizar mas en el tema seguridad + privacidad. Se nos dieron las herramientas para trabajar la compresión pero durante en encuentro no hubo suficientemente tiempo para explorarlas. No se dio tiempo para nuestra propia comprensión, la mayoría del tiempo se trabajo en preparar el IGT. Es interesante pensar la seguridad digital desde la realidad de las defensoras del territorio, es un desafío motivante, de aprendizaje. Estaré incorporando el tema en los análisis de riesgos que hacemos. Fue muy valioso tener la oportunidad de escuchar otras iniciativas. Hay formas de entendimiento colectivo que se integraron de forma orgánica de acuerdo a la puesta en común. Mas que mi comprensión, lo mire colectivamente de acuerdo a las necesidades de los diversos contextos locales. Cual fue la parte del encuentro que consideras mas util para ti? Compartidera e intercambio de metodologías dentro y fuera de horarios de trabajo. Aprender sobre nuevos proyectos, recursos, poder compartir sobre necesidades de mi grupo (mujeres defensoras de la tierra) en particular. De alguna manera todas, pero el compartir o micro talleres del lunes fue excelente y la exposición de alex sobre conceptos generales de seguridad digital en el primer dia. La participación de compas como yesica, deo, mar y daysi que aportan un enfoque feminista y del trabajo directo con defensoras. La practica, conocer e instalarme herramientas y programas para la seguridad. La preparación de las sesiones fue interesante en términos de escuchar metodologías e ideas de formación metodológica. Escuchar las propuestas de innovación para lograr una formación mas rica + conocer las plataformas diversas y nuevos conceptos asi como cuestionar actuales conceptos. Todo el material que se nos proporciono como las wikis que sera de gran utilidad + también redes y contactos de trabajo nuevos. Poder desarrollar nuevas ideas. Lluvia de ideas sobre contenidos. El compartir metodologías diversas. Conocer la perspectiva de colegas de otros países. 1 y 2 día. Ver donde están alojadas todos los currículos ya desarrollados para usarlos. Escuchar las experiencias y enfoques en los trabajos de las compañeras (1 día). Nuevos conceptos y frameworks de feministas. Aspectos mas demandantes? La clasificación y mapeo de temáticas, como nombrarlas, que contenidos incluir, como plantear los diferentes espacios formativos de trabajo. Y lo menciono porque fue muy poco tiempo para ello y no he estado en IGT anteriores para saber o hacerme una idea de las metodologías para distribuir tiempos, temas e información. La sesión de pensar en sesiones fue la que me pareció que hubiera requerido mas tiempo. De ahí en fuera creo que estuvo bien en tiempos y facilitación. La comprensión de algunas expresiones bien técnicas. Pensar la seguridad digital desde “la cuerpa” individual, comunitaria y territorial. Practicas. La revisión de módulos, la tarde del segundo día. Todo el tema de la seguridad digital ya que no estoy muy familiariazada. La presión de las facilitadoras para con el tiempo lo que nos llevo a presionarnos un poco. La parte de definir las sesiones a desarrollar. La curricula colectiva. La elaboración de la curricula. Conocimientos especializados de seguridad digital La parte del cuerpo y el lenguaje metafórico/cultural/simbólico . Construcción de curricular (día 2) por falta de tiempo, aunque al iniciar el día 3 se retomo/recojio súper!  +

Gender and Technology Institute, Panama +	We found that the event enabled many participants to finally meet face to face and to create new forms of trust and exchange that can only be achieved in offline meetings. Many of them also underlined that even if they knew the name of the other collectives and they followed their activities or campaigns on the internet, the institute became a space that provided them with the opportunity to better understand how they worked and navigate in their specific contexts in order to provide information, counsel and/or accompaniment to the women they are supporting. In other words the Institute was felt as a safe space for sharing about their security and mitigation strategies and many participants felt they could never share those in an online environment. All together they felt the training not only provided them with important new skills and knowledge regarding their presence online but also strengthen their knowledge, networks and future actions regarding pro-choice activism on the field. Finally, participants also felt that the Institute was different because it focused on the security as a multilayer of processes and practices taking place inside their networks of solidarity and support, rather than providing a top down approach that focuses primarily on privacy and digital security tools. In that sense, it was also felt important that facilitators underlined the existing links between the holistic and integrated security approach to the different methodologies and practices developed within feminists and gender social justice movements, showing the continuum existing between online and offline approaches to security. All together, it provided participants with a sense of enjoying a strong framework (theoretical and practical) that make easier to link all those dimensions together and include more privacy and digital security into their lives and work.  +

Herramientas comunicacionales para la protección del territorio y naturaleza, Ecuador +	metodologías usadas en el taller fueron claras y precisas. Nos sugirieron abordar con mayor detenimiento herramientas de autocuidado en el próximo módulo o en algún otro espacio y herramientas de comunicación relacionadas con la seguridad digital y en particular del acceso a telefonía celular segura y autónoma. Al abordar el tema de cómo funciona la telefonía celular e Internet se interesaron en saber más, en dar continuidad a este tipo de aprendizajes.  +
