Learning objectives | Constructing a group narrative around security and self care, to encourage participants to think about what collectives or organisations can do in the area of security. + |
Methodology |
Divide the participants into small groups … Divide the participants into small groups – 4 or 5 people, and ask them to create a real or fictitious story around security or self care. The format for presentation is a theatre piece, a 'fireside story', a drawing or comic strip – the most important part is that every member of the group is taking part in the storytelling.
Facilitators should encourage participants to ensure agency – we all have our own power, we face risks, but we have responses – and encourage these themes to be used in the stories we tell.
Groups are given 45 minutes to come up with a short story to then perform back to the group as a whole. then perform back to the group as a whole. +
